Gator GPE-BASS TSA
The new GPE Basss Guitar Case
We have just received stock of Gators new bass guitar case the GPE-BASS-TSA. The new product has been designed to use TSA approved locks, but overall Gator have made some great improvements on the old GPE-BASS with this new guitar case.
The images below show these new improvements in full. However the reasons we think Gator deserve a pat on the back are the following:
- The case uses TSA approved locks (see bottom of page for more details on this).
- The case is much tougher than the old ones, it uses a military grade outer shell which is extremely tough.
- The new handle is tough but also comfortable when in use.
- The new velvet interior is really good quality.
- Stacking: this case unlike the old has ridges and grooves for stacking on top of each other.
All round this guitar case has been vastly improved in our opinion. It is definitely capable of travelling well in airports. We hope Gator take this concept and role it out to the rest of their product range...its will be interesting to see!

TSA Approved Locks
TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is responsible for screening every bag in the USA before someone boards a plane. By law they are allowed to break any lock on a bag if they deem it necessary to inspect the bag.....and no compensation is offered for the damaged case.
TSA has therefore worked with several companies to develop a lock that allows security officers to unlock the bag using a 'master key' and inspect the case contents without damaging the case itself.
