True 110 Ohm impedance AES-EBU digital audio cables available as single pair installation, multicore or microphone types.
The aim of digital interconnection is to match sending and receiving equipment and to minimise high frequency signal loss which can inround offin rising edges of the digital signal - resulting in corrupt data. When impedances dont match, the signal effectively gets reflected in the cable causing corruption and timing errors. Digital cables are manufactured with reliably consistent impedance and use a special polymer sheath to achieve low capacitance.
